BHI is a watch technician who has completed the master's program of the association and is certified, and is also called a BHI certified person. The association is a national institution that restores and protects British-owned cultural heritage watches and certifies national watchmakers. They are based in Upton Village, Nottinghamshire. Watch technology originated in the Kingdom of the United Kingdom, and even today, about 90% of those who have a qualification as a watch engineer in the United Kingdom have BHI certification or are in the master's program aiming for acquisition.
